He for She

The public disclosure of Harvey Weinstein’s sexual predation has led to a torrent of disclosures about sexual harassment in all corners of entertainment, politics, boardrooms and other domains of our lives. In a  sense, it’s not that surprising, because it’s long been thought the norm in those circles. But its prevalence is still saddening to stare at in the face.

Today, I made a commitment to UN Women’s He for She campaign, its solidarity movement for gender equality. UN Women is the UN organization dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. He for She makes clear that the fight for gender equality is not a movement of women for women, but rather of all people for women.
