Community Cooks - main dish

Today, I went back to the kitchen to cook a meal for 20 as part of a Community Cooks team, benefitting families in need through local human services agencies. More on the program here. Our team rotates dishes so today I drew the main dish (meat). Those turkey meatballs were delicious if I do say so myself.

Inauguration Day and the Hill We Climb

Today, I took the afternoon off from work and watched the Joe Biden’s inauguration as the 46th president of the United States. It was the capstone that completed my journey to commit one civic act per day for four years. It’s something that I’ll never forget, just like Amanda Gorman at the ceremony today.
