Sister District post-election debrief

Today, I listened to the recorded post-election debrief from Sister District. The organization got involved in 15 state elections last week, and managed 14 wins, all in tight races. The 15th race is in a recount. So they are feeling pretty good. And so should the publics in Virginia and Washington state.

It was particularly interesting to hear their theory of change, that electoral wins on the state level turn into pilot legislation in the states and create the next generation of national candidates. That’s why they focus exclusively on state races. And they’re getting ready to scale…
